Q: Are all of your products made at your Harrisonburg Location?

A: A majority of our products are made right here at our Downtown Harrisonburg shop. We invite you to stop by our production area in our shop and check out how we make our products!

Q: Do you sell samples of your foundation?

A: YES. We encourage all customers to purchase samples of our liquid and mineral foundation before committing to a full-size product. Matching you shade online is tricky and not always the best method. Please order samples first or get matched at our store by one of our beauty associates.

Q: Do you make your own sunscreen?

A: We do not have a sunscreen in our line and it is not something that we will be adding for pharmaceutical reasons. However, our Liquid Foundation does have a natural sun protectant in the formula.

Q: If I bring my empty skincare bottles to the shop, will you refill them?

A: Due to sanitary reasons, we do not refill bottles that have been purchased and used. We do not want to add new product to them in case they were exposed to any form of bacteria. However, we will recycle your empty containers for you or use them for upcoming events!

Q: I am trying to live a zero-waste lifestyle. How does withSimplicity practice zero waste initiatives?

A: We happily accept any empty containers (both glass and plastic). All plastic containers get sent through TerraCycle, where they are properly recycled. If you give (or send) us a glass container back, we will reuse it and give you 20 Simple Perks Points.
* We have also been trying our hardest to reduce our plastic waste by eliminating seals on certain products. Due to the nature of the beauty industry, there are certain health codes we cannot violate (therefore some products require seals, especially for transport) but we are working our hardest at coming up with alternatives.

Q: I am gluten-free, is it safe for me to use your products? Are your products safe from cross-contamination?

A: Most of our products are gluten-free. Our products are also wheat free (except for our Micro Cleanser & Mask, Turmeric Mask (Lumi-hance), and our Oatmeal Spice Soap). Our Mascara and Bath Bombs do contain corn, which is gluten free. All of our products are made in the same production area and ingredients are stored together, which can lead to cross-contamination. We do not have a gluten-free certified facility; however, we ensure our production is as clean and sanitary as possible. 

Q: Are your products soy-free?

A: Some of our makeup products are not soy-free. They contain a pure, sustainable form of Glycerin that is derived from soy. If you have a soy allergy, we do not recommend that you use our makeup, as all our makeup is made in the same facility, which means cross-contamination can occur.

Q: Is your nail polish completely chemical free?

A: Unfortunately, no, and we do not want to market it that way either. In order for nail polish to go from a liquid to a solid, there are some chemicals required. We would never claim that our nail polish is toxin-free, however, it is one of the cleanest nail polishes on the market. It is also Gluten free, vegan, and cruelty free. 

Q: I wear shade (x) in your liquid foundation, how should I know what color powdered foundation will match best?

A: It depends on your skin’s undertones. Our Matte powders have warmer undertones and the mineral powder has more cool undertones. However, we encourage you to purchase samples of the powdered foundations before you commit to a full size product!

Q: What step in my skincare routine do I apply my face serum?

A: If you use the Face Jelly as your moisturizer, you will want to apply the serum afterwards since it is a “heavier formula”. If you use our Face Cream, you will want to apply your serum before applying your Face Cream so that it can penetrate to the deepest levels of your skin.

Q: Do you offer workshops for corporate events/groups?

A: Yes, we do! If you are interested in booking us to come to your location or you come to our shop, please fill out this form so we can give you a quote. 

Q: Do you offer gift certificates/gift cards?

A: Yes, we do! You can purchase them in store or online. Please be aware that online gift cards cannot be redeemed in-store.
 
Q: Can multiple discounts be used at once?

A: No. We can only accept 1 discount code at a time. 

Q: Can discount codes be used with third-party payment providers?

A: Unfortunately, no. At this time, our system is unable to apply discount codes to orders paid with services such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. Our team is working on adding this feature.
