Face masks: the girls’ night essential. We all love them, but do they work? Well, let’s talk about it.
Ultimately, yes, face masks do actually work! Depending on which one you pick, they can provide quick results on things like redness, inflammation, dryness, and even acne. They’re all different, and provide an array of benefits depending on the ingredients and your skin type. So, what exactly do they do?
Yes, it’s great that you wash your face everyday, and remove your makeup every night- but that isn’t necessarily enough. Throughout the day, dirt and oil accumulates on your face and travels deep into your pores, and a (good) face mask will extract it- helping you achieve cleaner and clearer skin. Ingredients like rose powder work as natural makeup removers, and will get rid of any makeup residue that your face wash missed. By using masks regularly, you can keep your skin fresh and your pores unclogged.
Face masks are an amazing way to tighten loose skin and reduce those wrinkles. Masks rich in amino acids and Vitamin A will increase collagen production in your skin, resulting in firmer, tighter skin.
Face masks can be incredibly hydrating for your face. Masks with natural hyaluronic acids will bind water molecules- restoring moisture in the skin and helping your face hold onto moisture longer.
Last but certainly not least, face masks can be relaxing. Take time for yourself to cleanse your skin and relax your body. Depending on the ingredients in the mask, it can actually have a very therapeutic effect on your senses.
Honestly, there’s no reason not to use face masks! On October 30th, we’re hosting a masquerade party to release our new Toxin-Free Mask Line, and we couldn’t be more excited! Also, our new masks may or may not feature some of the ingredients mentioned above *wink wink* ;)
